A custom version of Nothing 2a was recently released, designed by fans. The company has launched several variants of this smartphone in the market this year. The company’s CEO Carl Pei said something big about Google’s Android operating system, which will raise tensions between Alphabet. After Huawei, nothing can also bring its own mobile operating system.
Are you going to create your own operating system?
It was said during a recent event that the company is exploring the possibilities of its mobile operating system. Work is underway on what Nothing OS will look like. The company is considering ending its dependence on Google’s Android mobile operating system. Carl Pei said at the event that more than 80 percent of smartphones in the world run on the Android operating system, from which the monopoly of Google and Alphabet can be seen. Possibilities are being explored on how to overcome this.
Due to Google’s Android monopoly, the UI of smartphones has not changed yet. Carl Bay said that besides hardware, you can make your product effective using software as well. We should focus on user experience because operating systems have not changed in the last 40 years. Whether it’s a computer or a smartphone, these devices hold a lot of our information. We do many types of work on them but we need to improve their experience.
Big changes are needed
Apart from this, Nothing will integrate advanced artificial intelligence (AI) with Nothing OS. Artificial Intelligence has made operating system development much easier. We cannot call any operating system an AI operating system. AI is just a tool. First of all, Huawei created HarmonyOS a few years ago, which is very different from Android. In 2019, Huawei was forced to exit the American market due to the trade war between the United States and China. In addition, the use of the Android operating system is also blocked. Then Huawei created its own operating system.
