Google has officially confirmed that Android 16 is coming soon. Recently, information regarding the rollout of the new Android update was shared in the developer blog. Google will release the next Android version in early 2025.
Android users will get the update soon
If you don’t know, let us tell you that every year a new Android software update is released by Google in the third quarter, i.e. the first three months or the fourth quarter, i.e. the first four months of the year. During this time, the company can introduce the new Android 16 to users. However, it is believed that users may get the update before Q3 or Q4.
This information was shared in an Android Developers Blog post which states that the company’s Android 16 could be released in the second quarter of next year, i.e. between April and June, and another minor update version will be released in the fourth quarter of 2025, when more major updates will be released. There will be no changes. This time Google can also make scheduling changes with Android 16. This could be done so that other Android phones, besides Pixel smartphones, can get the Android 16 update as soon as possible.
