The data centers will be installed in distributed locations, using some of the communications technologies associated with the NTT-led Innovative Optical and Wireless Next Generation Network (IOWN) optical infrastructure project. By locating data centers in areas rich in renewable energy, the companies claim they can use locally produced electricity and achieve high energy efficiency in coordinating and processing distributed computing and artificial intelligence resources.

In addition, companies are building a system to coordinate human mobility infrastructure through communications suitable for different traffic environments and conditions in urban, rural and suburban areas.
